disobedient bodyparts

her eyes are not looking at sights that should be seen
her ears are not listening to sounds that should be heard
her legs are not walking to places they should be going
her lips are not saying the words that should be said
her mind is not thinking of things that should be thought about
and, her heart is not feeling what should be felt
but, then again, how would she know they're not?
